Many of us struggle with the Twitter to get the optimum results from it and miss out on simple things which can be very useful to achieve the best results. Hence I am delighted to present my simple Twitter hacks which can help you to get the best out of your Twitter profile!
1.Optimise the BIO
Many of us leave the BIO space blank and unutilized, BIO is the first thing a someone looks at when they hover on your profile, so you need to say the most with the least. Use links, @profiles and Hashtags to get the maximum focus with minimum words.
2.Networking in the right crowd
There is a pool of people out there who have similar interest & tastes, etc. Keep a track of such type of people with tools like Simply Measured, Twtrland, Commun.it, Followerwonk, etc. which can help you to reach out to the right kind of people from your industry.
3.Create twitter lists
Lists helps you to organise yourself on Twitter more. Group profiles with similar tastes, interests, etc together for your future reference so you are eased up from searching some profiles again and again.
4.Tweet the right content daily
The type of content you publish, attracts the type of people you want as your followers, so keep your content relevant to your area of expertise and that too daily. daily tweeting is essential in this Twitter world.
5.Visualize your content
Visuals always add value to the content, they help in getting the attention. Twitter plays .gifs and videos while scrolling down, such type of visuals helps to generate potential engagement with ease. No wonder why vine & dubsmash has gained so much popularity via Twitter.
6.Embed the tweets
Embedding helps to link two different sources, so why not convert blog readers into followers? You can embed tweets easily to your blogs with the embed code available on each tweet.
7.Pin top tweets to profile
It’s good to show off the good stuff you do, so flaunt your top tweets by pinning to the top, that not only showcases your content but also highlights the engagement you generally get with your tweets. Keep changing the pin to top tweet regularly as change is the spice of life!
What can I say about this now? Hashtags are very important! Add those which are relevant and trending in your industry. Get to know about the source about who uses these hashtags most often with tools like Tubs or mentions. Create your own brand hashtag to connect with your audience easily.
9.Make the most of twitter chats
Get connected to similar kind of profiles easily with Twitter chats and expand your engagement even more.
10. Use Geotags
Geotags helps in connecting people of the same location. If you are a local brand Geo-tagging with help you be connected to your local audience every time the search for you.
Hope these hacks will help you like they helped me! DO let me know what more to add on to this list and connect with each other better.
With the gaining popularity of Instagram worldwide, here are 5 tips you can use to optimize your brand on Instagram too!
#1 USE HASHTAGS
Hashtags are an easy way to reach out to specific target group on any social media channel. Instagram uses a maximum of 30 hashtags, so you need to know your industry specific hashtags currently floating e.g. #FashionLovers, #ILoveFashion, etc. Don’t limit yourself, keep on experimenting with them as social media is all about that!
Being not social on social media makes no sense of your existence on social media! Explore social media, get into conversations (avoid being creepy), tag people with similar interests, simply interact with people and be social.
#3 BE AUTHENTIC
By being authentic, I am not focusing on 100% pure fun, but I want to express that don’t be a brand on social media, brands do that a lot, be a person, be human, be natural. It’s social media, keep the fun!
#4 SHARE & CONNECT
Repost your fan pictures, that helps in creating a bond between your customers, they feel more connected and you are pictured as a likable brand. People are good promoters of brands on social media, keep a track of such people and reshare their content, ask for co-branding opportunities and get connected.
Geo-tagging helps in getting connected to people of the same locality, set up an event and your brand can be on visual photomap! Don’t leave this space empty, I have seen many brands do that, just utilize the space and see the difference!
Do let me know which one was the most effective tip from the above, do share other tips which I missed out on! Love to hear from you!
As you know visuals are the key in social media, if your images are not shining on your page then your brand is not shining as well. So without further ado here are 3 tips which can help you increase your post engagement with some changes in the images!
Living in the HD world quality of image is so essential! I often come across pixelated images posted by brand and blurry as well which are very disturbing. Hence pick eye catching images when you are browsing for a good image and maybe you won’t be confident of your choice but then trying is necessary in social media than not trying, experiment, change the type of images, wait and see the reaction of your audience. If you are out of all the good pictures, do check out my old blog post for inspiration, 3 Free Image Websites. I once uploaded a good quality picture and it come out to be bit blurry, it was hard to locate problem but so I tried uploading a .PNG file and volla! It worked! So whenever stuck, don’t stop, try something!
Continuing from the point above, experimenting with your images is essential in social media, it not only adds a variety to your content but also you get to know what is working and what is not working. And when you get to know what is working, you now hold the trigger to post engagement my friend! And about the ones which are not working can be used to focus on the “whys” and the “won’ts”. But it is a package deal, so the sole image itself is not the hero of the movie, the content, CTA, etc. also are variable factors to the engagement.
So we have everything in the post for the engagement which is a good quality image to capture the audience attention and we know what triggers our people, so what will I do to make them engage even more? I go for simple CTA, ask them a question, maybe related to the picture, ask them of their opinion, ask them to sign up, etc, make them question, now what? where from this beautiful image? As I was once told by an expert, always end your post with a question for you will hear
there are many answers and many to answer!
So do you agree with my 3 engagement tips? Or you have something more to share? Love to hear!

Producing content when you have a big budget is easy. Producing the right content for your audience on any budget is the tough part.
I realize small businesses have resource constraints and their own special set of challenges. But there are plenty of examples of small-business content marketing successes.
My first job as head of marketing for a small company included a large objective of driving awareness as well as leads for sales. And my budget was a whopping zero. Nothing. Nada.
So how do you drive marketing results without a budget? The answer for me was to publish customer stories. I also repurposed a lot of existing content. I interviewed folks around the company in sales and customer support.
Visuals pay an important role in social media & so having good images for your social media profile can be heavy on the pocket! So here are 3 free stock images websites which you can look into (besides Flickr) :-

I have to admit, when I started thinking about small businesses and social media, I thought – oh, they will be really up-there with the top successful social media sites, because they will probably use this as a cheaper way to market their brands or companies. But I hadn’t thought about the fact that they actually need to know how to use the social media and what to expect from it before they use it.
Nope – Sales will not soar the week after creating your Facebook and Twitter Pages:
After researching this a little bit – not intensely, but I did read some interesting articles (you can read them here, here and here), it is prevalent that small businesses tend to be lacking in knowledge about how to use social media and what it can do for their business.
What can social media do for your small business or not-for-profit?
